Guide to the SHVR Ground Festival 2018 (with Discount Codes)

The SHVR Ground Festival 2018 is the most exciting clubbing event so far this year in Jakarta. It will take place in the Allianz Eco Park, Ancol, on May 4th and 5th, 2018.

In this review, I will tell you everything you need to do about it: Which artists will attend, where to stay nearby, how to buy tickets (with discount), and how to prepare for the D-Day.

The line-up confirmed for this year's event features some of the world's most famous DJs and composers on the EDM and Trance scene. There are also several up-and-coming artists, some of them that you should follow closely like the band FKJ (French Kiwi Juice).

Apart from the names mentioned above, you also have Bondax, Gryffin, KhoMha, Standerwick X Will Atkinson, The Magician, Andre Dunant and RBA!

Several types of passes and packages are available:

2 Days Pass (General Admission) : IDR825,000

2 Days Pass (Early Entry Before 7PM): IDR650,000

2 Days Pass (General Admission) for 4 persons: IDR2,600,000 (or IDR650,000 per person)

2 Days Pass (General Admission) for 6 persons: IDR3,600,000 (or IDR600,000 per person)

2 Day Pass (VIP): IDR1,500,000 - VIP passes allow you to be much closer from the stage, in an exclusive area near the DJs.

The SHVR festival will be held in Allianz Eco Park, in Ancol. This is the north of the City, not too far from the airport, but at least 45 minutes from the center.

The closer hotels from there are Aston Marina and Mercure Convention Center. They are average for their prices (around 50$ per night) and they may fill up quickly.

For better value for money, I recommend you to stay in Mangga Dua area instead, just a 5-10 minutes taxi ride to the event. There, you have plenty of street food and shopping malls (low-to-mid range). If you don't know Jakarta yet, you can spend your afternoon near Kota Tua, the city's historical quarter.

The most recommend hotels in Mangga Dua are:
Ibis Styles Mangga Dua (45$ per night) and Le Grandeur Hotel (70$ per night: An old luxury property but located just above a mall and with a rather good value for money).

You may also prefer staying closer to Jakarta's city center. In that case, I advise you the area near the shopping center Sarinah, particularly along Jalan Wahid Hasyim. You can see a list of recommended hotels here.

Food
You cannot bring your own drinks and food. Several bars and eating joints will be available during the event.

Clothes
There is no particular dress code. However, it is recommended to bring comfortable light clothes and shoes.

Lockers
Lockers will be available if you need, for a fee.

Stages:
There will be 2 stages during the event, but the schedule for each artist has not been released yet. I will let you know about it as soon as I know more.

Age Limit
You must be 18 to enter the festival. No exceptions to the rule, an ID will be asked.
